Today, for every mission, in uniform or in plain clothes, police officers and gendarmes have suitable duty footwear models at their disposal. Each has its own specific features: style, material, weight, closure type…

Are there lightweight duty boots?

How well materials stand up to the demands of the field is essential. The use of synthetic materials renowned for their properties has made it possible to develop a new generation of footwear that is easier to wear.

Gone are the 100% leather pairs, which are certainly durable, but heavy. Manufacturers now combine the properties of leather:

  • insulating;
  • breathable;
  • sturdy;

with those of Nylon:

  • absorbency;
  • flexibility;
  • elasticity;

As a result, the boots are lightweight as well as sturdy and comfortable, like our lightweight tactical boot model: Field cuir & zip. This leather and canvas pair has a reduced weight compared with classic combat boots: 1,200 g versus 1,900 g. Users wear them with greater ease.

How can I avoid blisters with my duty boots?

A blister can be a real handicap. It is caused by:

  • friction,
  • overheating,
  • temperature,
  • damp socks
  • boots that are too wide or too tight.

Choosing the right tactical boots can prevent blisters. They must be suited to the shape of your foot (width and arch shape)
