Accessories for airsoft
Airsoft is a sport inspired by the military world. Two teams face off with replicas. Like any sport, airsoft requires specific equipment, which can be divided into three categories: the outfit, the accessories and the replicas.
The outfit consists of a military uniform (or a tactical jacket and ripstop trousers, also military-inspired), and it provides camouflage thanks to colors such as black or green. An outfit designed for airsoft ensures the player's protection against bad weather, shots from other players and injuries. The outfit is completed by ultra-lightweight tactical boots that must support the ankle to prevent injuries.
Accessories include protective and defensive items (goggles, masks or gloves) and those required to play airsoft: BBs, the tactical vest, the holster, the magazine or the accessory bag.
There are several types of replicas: rifle, handgun, pistol, AEG, Spring or Gas replica… Most are made of metal and can come with a variety of systems. We can mention replicas with a metal blowback slide, which are close to military weapons. There is also a multitude of brands: Swiss Arms, Tan, Cybergun… The choice of replica depends on how you play airsoft.
The airsoft tactical vest: benefits and price
The tactical vest is an accessory that looks like a ballistic vest. The difference lies in its purpose: the tactical vest is designed to carry airsoft accessories, such as the weapon replica, grenades, BB supply, protective and defensive items, a magazine… This vest is made to be lightweight, waterproof and comfortable to wear. You can also get pouches to attach to the tactical vest thanks to the MOLLE system: grenade holder, radio holder, spray holder, pouch for the mask, goggles or other protective accessories, BB supply or magazines…
A tactical vest keeps your accessories within reach, allowing you to draw them in seconds and stow them immediately so you are not encumbered. The BB supply is easily accessible so you don't waste time when reloading your replica, as are the magazines. The tactical vest has the advantage of preventing equipment from getting in the way when stored in pockets that were not designed for it.
As for the price, entry-level tactical vests cost around fifty euros, and prices can rise to over €300 for the most complete models. The price of external pouches and bags ranges from €10 for the smallest to more than €50 for the largest.

The holster: benefits and price
The holster is a leather holster, or one made of cordura, polymer, kydex, or even neoprene. It has two purposes: to allow immediate stowing and a fast draw of your handgun replica, and to protect the player from any accidental shot. The holster can be attached to the belt or come as a harness with one or more pouches to attach to the chest. For belt-mounted holsters, there are belts specially designed for this, ensuring the weapon replica and the holster are properly held in place. Some holsters also let you store your BB supply for replicas, which is handy. The holster is designed not to get in the player's way while playing airsoft, and often comes in right-handed and left-handed versions.
Thanks to this equipment, the airsoft player can draw their weapon replica and BBs from their holster and stow them quickly. The player is well protected, and can be sure their weapon is securely held.
Holster prices range from €50 to €130 depending on the model, size and material. As for the price of a belt, expect to pay around fifty euros.
